Oil ETFs

The easiest way for a beginner to get involved with trading oil commodities is probably with oil ETFs. The following is a list of popular oil ETFs:

  • iShares S&P Global Energy Sector (IXC)
  • iShares Goldman Sachs Natural Resources Sector (IGE)
  • Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE)
  • ETFs simply allow you to instantly diversify your portfolio instead of putting all your money into one individual stock.

So if you are unsure or do not have the time to figure out which is the best oil company than an oil ETF may be the way to go.
