Oil commodities are without a doubt the most talked about of all commodities in the world of investing. Oil in all its forms truly makes modern day living possible. This of course makes it a highly sought after commodity; which can bring the worst out of humanity.

The United States currently imports around 65% of its oil. Most people do not realize that the largest exporter to the United States is actually Canada not the Persian Gulf countries. The Persian Gulf makes up only about 20% of the oil imported into the United States. The United States is by far the largest consumer of crude oil in the world by a large margin.
