Load vs. No Load Mutual Funds

When you start investing in mutual funds you are going to hear the terms load and no load funds.

A fund that is called a load fund means that there will be a sales commission on top of the net asset value of the fund itself.

No load funds are your better option because they have no such extra expense. There are plenty of quality no load funds out there so take your time, and do not let anyone talk you into an expensive load fund. There really is no point, especially for a new investor, to get involved with a load mutual fund.
