Penny Stock - common stock selling for less than a dollar a share. Pink Sheets - the registered name for a privately owned company that operates a centralized quotation service that collects and distributes market maker quotations for securities traded in the over-the-counter market. Point - a unit equal to one dollar used to quote or state variations in the current prices of stocks or commodities. Preferred Stock - stock that has a superior claim to that of common stock with respect to dividends and often to assets in the event of liquidation. Price-Book Ratio - compares a stock's market value to the value of total assets less total liabilities. Principal Stockholder - a person who owns 10% or more of a company’s voting stock. Pullback - falling back of a stock price from its peak. Put Option - the option to sell a given stock at a given price before a given date. |
