I-bonds - treasury savings bonds with a 30-year maturity date.

Income Fund - an investment whose main objective is to achieve current income for its owners.

Income Stock - a stock that has a high dividend yield.

Index - statistical composite that measures changes in the economy or in financial markets.

Index Fund - a fund with a portfolio that contains many of the securities listed in a major stock index in order to match the performance of the stock market generally.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA) - a savings plan that offers tax advantages to an individual depositor to set aside money for retirement.

Initial Public Offering (IPO) - a corporation's first offer to sell stock to the public.

Insider Trading - the illegal buying and selling of securities by persons acting on privileged information.

International fund - a mutual fund that invests in securities of companies located outside the country in which the fund is located.

Intraday – stock prices occurring during a single day.

Investment - the investing of money or capital in order to gain profitable returns, as interest, income, or appreciation in value.

Investment-Grade Bonds – bonds that are rated BBB or higher.
