Invest in Life

Oh what a world it could be if people would invest in life before money. It took me over 35 years to learn this lesson. Money simply does not buy happiness, and in fact the desire for too much money simply causes more problems in life then it solves.

I spent 15 years of my life working my butt off to make more and more money and never stopped to live life. I used to spend 60 plus hours a week at work, and as I look back at that time of my life I laugh at how foolish I was. While I believe in hard work, I also have learned no person should spend their prime of life working their life away. Instead learn how to live within reasonable means and spend more time with your friends and family; because before you know it you will be 35 and regretting spending all your time at work.

One thing I have learned from my many years as a corporate supervisor is that corporate life is not fair to most people. Many corporations see their employees as a financial expense not as an asset. This was one of the main reasons I walked away from the corporate lifestyle, because I could not agree with some of the unethical choices corporations make in regards to their employees.

So enough preaching from me today. Just remember there is much more to life than money.
