I am trying to figure out how to remove inquiries from my credit report that I know are incorrect. The credit bureaus do NOT seem to be much help even after sending in complaints.

One thing to remember is that the credit bureaus will usually always take the side of the business reporting the negative item on your report.

So if you know something is incorrect complain STRONGLY to the business reporting the negative item, and let them know they are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Tip - You will get better results if you send certified letters to higher ups in the company directly, and tell them they are violating the law by reporting false information to the credit bureaus. If you just try to send letters to low level individuals in the company your complaint will probably just get buried with thousands of others.
