Bank Account Credit Score Question

by Jim
(Colorado)

Does opening a bank account affect my credit score? Or is it only if you actually open a line of credit?

Bank Account Credit Score Question

No, opening a typical savings or checking account will not affect your credit score.

Credit scores are based on items that require you to make on-time payments. (i.e. credit cards, car payments, and mortgage payments)
